You should know that the BBC never said that whole “6 books thing” - this list was derived from their “The Big Read” list, as voted by the British public. It doesn’t quite match up and the redundancies are probably from whichever idiot that put it together! According to the post I’ve just linked as well, there was a similar list from the Guardian.
